Overview

Abandoned by the United States as the Taliban retakes his country, Afghan interpreter Max strives to keep himself and his family alive while a group of devoted retired Marines and their network struggle to navigate American bureaucracy and bring their brother-in-arms safely to the U.S. Told through emails, text messages and voice memos as he attempts to escape the murderous regime, the film exposes America’s abdication of moral responsibility to help the allies that staked their lives on U.S. promises.
