Andy Sarjahani

Andy Sarjahani, filmmaker of Wild Hogs and Saffron (Mountainfilm 2024) is an Iranian-American documentary filmmaker and cinematographer raised outside the Arkansas Ozarks. He is interested in people, our relationship to place, and how that shapes our worldview. He was the verite cinematographer on Academy Award-nominated The Barber of Little Rock (The New Yorker, 2024). One of his recent Director credits includes The Smallest Power (Sundance, 2024; The New Yorker). His debut feature documentary, Iranian Hillbilly was a Southern Documentary Fund 2022 grant recipient, winner of New Orleans Film Festival 2022 South Pitch, and is currently in production. He is a 2024 Gotham/HBO Documentary Films Development Fellow.
