Dawn Kish

Filmmaker Dawn Kish received her first camera when she was 17 years old. She loves to tell stories and now turns her photo projects into films. Her focus is about creating art and advocacy with her work. Kish is a Mountainfilm alumni and received a Mountainfilm Commitment Grant for her film Old Man Lightning (Mountainfilm 2025), a climbing comeback comedy with an advocacy twist. Her other films include Can’t Beat This Place for Fun (Mountainfilm 2021) and Tad's Emerging World — Glen Canyon Exposed (Mountainfilm 2023). She has worked with organizations like Patagonia, Nat Geo and American Rivers.
